Atari World Headquarters in 2019

Postby tenox » Wed Sep 11, 2019 9:56 am

So recently Google bought one of old Atari buildings in Sunnyvale, CA.
https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/07/01/ ... als-widen/

I was near by and took a few photos of Atari World Headwaters on 1265 Borregas Ave.

Also 1196 Borregas Ave. which was the headquarters during Jack Tramiel times.

There appears to be Google g-bikes parked on front. I wonder whats going on in there.

There is some more information here:

If anyone wants more pics, let me know, I can go there and make some more.

Thanks for sharing those pictures.
It would be interesting to visit the storage room of that building, the basement or the cleaning room: maybe they have old Atari logos, posters, pictures, plates or any other element of the old company.

I do! Go inside! Snoop around and take pictures everywhere while you still can.

For example: where are the metal letters? I don't want to think they were thrown into a landfill.

probably sold for scrap metal.....
probably melted down and is now part of an aircraft carrier.
They probably not have Tramiel photo near the toilet, so that sailors don't have to pass by him when they need to go.
