Atari Pictures Photoshop Plugins (PI1/PC1/PI9/NEO/SPC/SPU)

Postby Orion_ » Tue Nov 16, 2010 11:19 am

Hello there,

After I made my PI1 plugin for photoshop I decided to make some other format, so here it is,
A collection of Photoshop Plugin for all these Atari Pictures format:
PI1, PC1 (Degas Elite), PI9 (Falcon), NEO (NeoChrome), SPC, SPU (Spectrum 512/4096)

In read mode for all of them, and in write mode for most of them (except Spectrum and PC1)

Find this package on my website: http://onorisoft.free.fr/ (the address has changed !)
in the Atari Computers / Tools section

Tested on Paint Shop Pro 5, and Photoshop CS5.

Enjoy !

Well, I have got routines to decode and convert almost anything to a BMP format. I expect it to be not very hard to rewrite it for Photoshop plugins.

Formats I can convert to BMP:
* DEGAS: .PI1, .PI2, .PI3, .PC1, .PC2, .PC3, ICN, BL1, BL2, BL3
* Neochrome: .NEO
* CrackArt: .CA1, .CA2, .CA3
* ArtDirector: .ART
* STadCad: .PAC
* Tiny: .TNY, .TN1, .TN2, .TN3, .TN4, .TN5, .TN6
* Doodle: .DOO
* Spectrum: .SPU, .SPC, .SPS, .SPX
* Photochrome: .PCS
* QuantumPaint: .PBX
* Overscan: .PCI
* HighresMedium: .HRM
* DeLuxePaint ST: .IFF (and all .IFF picture formats for which I found samples)
* STOS memory bank: .MBK (blocks, missinglink map, compressed picture, missinglink map blocks, STOS spritebank, STOS icons, missinglink bobs, crackart, IMAG, tiny and memorybanks packed with most popular ST packers)
* STOS character set: .CR0, .CR1, .CR2
* Animaster Sprite Bank: .ASB
* Picture Packer: .PP1, .PP2, .PP3

I know that most Falcon specific formats are missing. I asked a long time ago for sample files but none came.

ahh, give them a bunch of plugins and they will never be satisfied ;)
I may do some more plugins if I have the sources code to decode other formats, and if it's not too complex. (and If I have time :p )
But for most of the format you speak about I don't have picture in those format to test, nor the tools.

Well, here are the sources and, for those who only want results, the compiled programs.

For test pictures please mail me directly. I have got hundreds of megabytes with pictures in lots of formats.
