Rastari

Postby AnachronyX » Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:51 am

I discovered interesting project called Rastari and I can't find any post about it here on forum. You can find more informations here https://sites.google.com/view/rastari and there's a demonstration video on YT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRDIg2RgO5s.

Interesting. Looks like a well-designed front-end for Hatari.

But the project page is really shy about mentionning Hatari :( As it's a frontend and doesn't include Hatari sources, it's of course OK to do so.

It would seem nicer to me if Rastari stated that the underlying emulator is Hatari (appart from providing a SD card image there's just one mention of pressing F12 into Hatari)

I found this: https://sites.google.com/view/rastari/about

"License

Rastari is a system to configure atari emulator (hatari) on an existing OS (Raspbian). The Rastari is released under the General Public License. The SD Card image we provide is Raspbian Lite with Rastari pre-installed."

Actually you could blame them for that, since they are providing the binary, they are also required to provide the sources. Apart from that, it looks like they used a quite old version (1.8.0)

Didn't take a look yet, but just wonder what other software is installed on that SD card.
