Aranym resolution - a question...

Postby nagual » Thu Jul 13, 2017 8:36 pm

Is it possible to change resolution just through FVDI.SYS, without changing video parameters from Aranym control panel ?
I change resolution in FVDI.SYS, but nothing happend 'till I change resolution on aranym side too (via Aranym control panel).
Using fVDI in collaboration with NVDI in single TOS - I'm not interesting to run (in moment) any multitasking OS.

So, is it possible to avoid that ?
And if, how ?

Another question - is it possible to "stretch" smaller resolution like 800x600 through whole screen ?
Which paramters need to be checked on Aranym side through Aranym control panel?

I try different setups, but no luck...

I'm using TOS 4.04, single TOS, Linux+Aranym 1.0.2
No interes to run multitasking OS.

Thank you in advance:-)))

As I understand your need, you need videl compatible resolution, so no fVDI

You should modify [AUTOZOOM] parameters
Enabled to enable stretch to the size of the window if FixedSize is at yes
if IntegerCoefs is yes the zoom is applyed only if width and height is integer multiple to the Atari screen resolution asked, if no it is always applyed but redraw can be strange!
If FixedSize = yes the the window of aranym stay at the size describe by width and height, if no the size is fixed by the first resolution requested by Atari system I think.

I have done some tests some years ago, and under plain TOS & FVDI, you can set the resolution like you want... (be sur it's a 8 multiple <= don't know if it's understandable, i'm french -> it's need to match like this 800,808,816,824,832....)

Set Aranym control panel resolution to 0, 0, and edit your FVDI.SYS

But I use only FVDI never tried with NVDI....
