FaST basic vs ST Basic 2

Postby MystikShadows » Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:29 pm

Hello again gang,

i was wondering if anyone knows what exact advantages FaST Basic offered over ST basic 2 for example.

what are the good, the bad and the ugly of both? is there such a comparison already done? if so, a URL to it would be nice.

Thanks all.

I've been playing with Fast Basic and the built in assembler is quite cool and the dynamic DATA lines, so it seems to be technically more advanced than Atari's offering by leaps and bounds.

However I cannot find any info regarding a compiler for this basic. Only found a runtime interpreter for it. So it seems Atari's basic has the advantage in having a 3rd party compiler (LDW), if you can find it.
