STOT #3/21 In the dungeon of the Cybernoid's

Saturday we start playing Cybernoid a great classic by Hewson.

Have a look at our partnersite Atarimania to get some more INFOS about the game

The rules:
- no cheating as allways
- use autofire if you like :-)

The awards:
for 2500 points you gain the "Cybernoid pathfinder" award
for 5000 points you gain the "Cybernoid candle of hope" award
for 10000 points you gain the "cybernoid dungeonmaster" award

The round starts:
10th of July 2010 12'00 o'clock

The round ends:
24th of July 2010 11'59 o'clock

One of my old favourites - in the past I even managed to beat all 4 levels of this.

Some tips for the newcomer:
  • Mines are useless
  • Bombs are good to clear the path, e.q. kill grey blocks or green plants
  • use the Seekers for the big green and red baddies that hang on the walls
  • when in doubt use the Shield
  • learn where to use which weapon
  • the protecting stars affect the frame rate of the ST version - some spots are easier to master if you don't have them
  • collect at least 5000 points worth of diamonds per Level (your mission is to retrieve them afterall)

The end is disappointing but as in many games at that time...

At least the game has an end and does not simply get so hard that you can't ever win....
I think there were titles with the latter behaviour too.

Concratulation Xerus, well done.

The game is made of only a few simple components, and they made a huge number of levels out of it. A real classic

Yes, I agree with that too :wink:
Good conversion of a 8 Bits game, the level 4 is the new attraction for the 16/32 bits :)
Sadly, we can not listen the music during the game and the sound effects are too basic; it's the only issue in this version.
