(I wasn't sure where to post this.)
I was just looking into optimising a speedrun, and I discovered that if I put the CPU Clock Speed from 8 MHz to 32 MHz, screens load faster. But I'm not sure if I should allow this. How does CPU Clock Speed work? Is 8 MHz the standard?
In DOSBox, I did up the amount of allowed fixed cycles from 3000 to 6000.
The thing is, people playing on a real Atari ST shouldn't be at a disadvantage, so if 8 MHz is standard, I should probably require it. Also, can it go higher than 32 MHz? I saw that in Steem, it can, but I feel like the game might not work anymore then. (I'm talking about Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk)
