I don't see why Hatari would not run on it? Hatari runs on almost anything (computer, SoC, coffee maker, washer, dryer, toaster, etc.) that can run Linux. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_Linux

Hi
I had an xbox running linux at one point and it did run under that and if i remember rightly i even managed to get arranym running as well i was just wondering if a native version could possibly be done i know there is a native version of winston running on it well i suppose i would have to find an xbox developer and beg and plead them with them to do it oh well that'll probably never happen then :( shame

I think he's talking about a stand alone XBOX-1 application (like most XBOX-1 emulators).

I see. Sorry that I did not catch what was meant.

I guess it'll take some real dedication to port Hatari to the Xbox if it's possible at all.

Cheers,
T.

Hatari has very few dependencies. If libSDL and libz are already ported, and the compiler has OKish support fo C99 C-standard, there should be no problems.

(I've understood that Microsoft compiler support for the C99 C-standard has been a bit patchy, they've been adding proper support to it only ten years later, when C99 features were added to the C++ standard.)

If someone were to port Hatari to the original Xbox, they can use OpenXDK which supports SDL libraries plus it's legal since it doesn't use any code from a warez copy of the official XDK.
