those games crash under Steem too, so I'm not sure it's an emulation issue, most likely some bad .ST images.

comes up with the message write protect and reboot but when you write protect the disk the game bombs out

This worked for me, but I'm using a more recent Hatari version than the one I sent you. So it will be ok in Hatari 1.6

comes up with a picture of your ship and an alien then
Detected Double bus error => CPU Halted ! Emulation needs to be reset
then game bombs out

Works under Steem, and crash is different from the above games, looks like a problem to fix in Hatari.

while testing this again, I now get the same crash under Steem. Does it always work for you ? (tos 1.02 uk and 1 MB ?)

I can see what you mean with the crash
it trys to load some music then crashes out
if you press the fire button it will skip the music and load the game
In Saint 2.14 it goes to load the music but there is a buzzing sound
check out Blues Brothers Menu 18
it is the same crack as the Awesome Menu 18

bombs out straight away to the desktop but you can click on hhawk.prg and the game will run

comes up with messed up graphics after the press space screen

for these games, I get the same behaviour under Steem ; unless someone manages to run them with a specific memory/tos configuration or another emulator, I consider that the disk images are bad/damaged and this is not an emulation issue.

Regarding menu 21 and 22, Grazey/PHF sent me some versions that work flawlessly. So the problem was due to corrupted ST images.
