When I replaced the corrupt ST file with the full file from the Amiga version, the end sequence worked correctly - my guess is this is why the Atarimania PASTI is flagged as incomplete/corrupt, however I don't know if this is a bad dump (did the original have data on tracks 80/81?) or a mistake made during duplication/mastering.

Interesting info, thanks. It is possible that the dump is missing those tracks, can't say for sure. Can you reproduce the behavior under emulation with the Pasti image? Or can you point to the code that attempts to read the incomplete file?

Just for the record, Hi-tec is known to use tracks to the maximum. Some of their games use 84 tracks on Amiga :)

So i guess that on ST they surely have used 82 tracks.

Yes, this was also a problem on an Amiga game I cracked (Scrappy + Scooby-Doo) from Hi-Tec. The end credits screen was stored on tracks 81-83 which made it unreadable on most drives - I guess just like Alien World, no-one tested the final version to the end!

Many drives can't do 83 track. But 84 tracks is crazy!

Ok i have a good news and a "bad" one :

I have an STX file from the original i bought, as well as an IPF out of the game. The ST version use a 5x1024bytes sectors format, and is spread on 79 tracks.

i join too the CTR file. the ending is maybe amputed or shorter....
