SOLD! Re-listed Sale Atari TT030

Postby Rustynutt » Tue Jun 12, 2018 2:13 am

https://tinyurl.com/yccq823k

Please let me know if photos are not viewable using the tiny url above. I put them on Facebook open to public.
Don't think I messed up on this post, but the TT is not free :)
Things kind of changed at home, thus the sale.....

Late production, does NOT have the CPU daughter card. Has the 8 MB ST RAM card for a total of 10 MB. Has a GE Soft FRB with 32 MB non-nibble mode ram (speed freaks might swap those out). Has a NOS 4.7 GB Seagate 3.5" internal SCSI II HD connected to the internal bus. Terminators are removed, so either an external SCSI device will have to be connected, or utilize the terminator provided.

Only flaw inside is the hard disk LED leads corroded. VME graphics adapter from Frank Lucas with an ET4000 video card, and Tenoxvga Mono adapter are included but not installed.

The keyboard is nice condition, key are pretty yellowed. Floppy hasn't given any trouble.

The TT case is near perfect as you can see in the photos. No stripped threads, cracks or hacks.

Setup now to boot basically with NVDI.

The HD was prepped with HD Driver V10 (NOT included) into 512 MB partitions. Don't know how backward compatible this is with earlier versions of the driver package, if not already owned HD Driver would need to be purchased. (really, you should support Uwe!). The set up for Frank's VME ET4000 card does require additional software setup.

$650 +shipping +3.5% PaytPal fees to the U.S. 48 continental ONLY.
Please PM with interest and INCLUDE your zip code. Will go by time of PM for sale. Will not hold!
Once shipping cost is calculated, prompt payment is expected.
PayPal only. Price is firm.

if you'd be willing to split the Spectrum VME out, I might want that. There is someone I work with who was looking at getting a TT, but I think he was budgeting out 800 or so? Though if this comes with the ET4000, not sure how much he'd go beyond that.

I'd go $875 plus shipping, that would cover pay-pal fees and box cost for the TT alone with the VME card.
Don't want to talk about the Spectrum card until the TT is sold.

Thanks!

It looks like a good deal to me, unfortunately I have spent my limit for this month on a big yard project or I would be interested. If it is still available next month I might be interested as long as no unforeseen bills show up.

Hi, yes same situation here.
It's a nice one. Wife keeps looking in my computer room asking if I'm ever going to let anything go.
Thanks, Mike

It does look nice, last one I saw on Ebay looked like it had been dropped so I didn’t bid on it. They don’t come up very often on Ebay and I have wanted one since seeing it demonstrated at the Atari store many years ago.

For many years work kept me so busy I didn’t have time to think about getting back into playing around with old computers, now that I am retired I want to get the old Atari models that I wanted back when they were new.

I got started in 89 think it was, with a 1040 STF. Bought hardware like crazy. Computer Eyes, use to get on the Round table. Bought software from Ash, paid by check from them and for NAES. Those were the days. Best upgrade to the ST was a T-36, smoking fast.
Like everyone else, was on pins and needles waiting for Atari to ship the Falcons.
I was a single parent since my son was 3, I could get away with anything. He's 35 now, didn't get married again until 2009.

Wow, they still have some? I've been looking on and off for one, but while back when I had no money for such things I'd see them on ebay occasionally, I haven't seen one on there in years.

Yes, as far as I know Rob still has computers, prices seem to vary depending on what version of his website you are on.
I bought mine about two years ago, I called to place an order and he told me all the available options. Cubes fully optioned out are very expensive, I believe all together there were only about 50,000 NeXT computers made so they are pretty rare, I always wanted a BeBox also but they are really rare.

He doesn't have anything on eBay right now, his website does list the NeXT color for $699. I'd have to sell a Falcon to afford that!

Well, with selling the Falcon you could add all the accessories that are required for sure, but going prices for Falcons are nuts! Last one I saw went for 1500-1700.

I noticed all of his Ebay listings were for the Monochrome versions, I think I paid about $700 for my 25Mhz color NeXTStation with 32MB of ram and the SD2SCSI board with OS and lots of other software on it, that also included the monitor cable, keyboard, mouse and the soundbox. I also bought a Nortel external SCSI DVD drive for about $100.

I have a Falcon soon available. The bottom case is yellow, and will need a TT Tuch kit installed. Likely include the Eagle Sonic and Magnum card. This one doesn't even have a clock patch. Think it came from the same folks at the Crawley Crypt.
The last one took me 5 months to ready with all the other projects, don't jump on it too quickly, would like to see the TT go first.
