Picked mine up from Best Electronics.
But....tried to bench mark the FPU and only got errors. I purchased an 882, never tried the 881. Those you'll find fairly inexpensive on fleebay, Brad has the GALS.

Some motherboard revisions you might need to patch the bottom side of the motherboard.

Yes, there is a small modification on the bottom, the unit I had wasn't necessary. Of course, could have missed something :)

However, I only used "FPU Bench" and FPU accuracy programs, not the one you wrote (thank you :) ) in Fourth.

My Mega STe has a jumper next to the coprocessor socket, I think I do not need any modification except removing the jumper and inserting the two chips.

I noticed that the FPU is recognised differently in my Falcon and TT, compared to the FPU in my Mega STE in GemBench (from memory, it doesn't "I/O Mapped FPU").
  • Mega STE/4, Monster board, 40GB IDE, CosmosEx
  • Mega ST4, Monster board, 8GB CF, Gotek
  • TT4/16, SCSI2SD
  • Falcon 14MB, 8GB CF, Falcon Speed, CosmosEx
  • Falcon 14MB, 8GB SD, Gotek
  • 130XE/myIDE2; 800XL/Supermon; XEGS/SIO2SD; 800XL/SIO2SD; 130XE/SIDE2
  • 1040STE/4MB, Monster board (8GB SD, RTC)
Work-in-progress: Mega ST4/Matrix M110 video; Mega ST2/Titan Reflex video; TT 2/16MB; 1200XL UAV; 400 UAV/Audio; 800

I'm not sure but could it be because it's a 68881 instead of 68882 as on the TT?

With a MC68881 FPU in a Mega STE or Mega ST the FPU Test with GEMBench 4.03 is fine ...
