Hi EvilFranky,
Thank you for the link.
I could not see any original Falcon PSUs.
I read up on the fitting and specs for the Exxos peoples PSU and know that fitting is beyond my talents.
Thanks again
Cheers
Gary

The Falcon PSU's I am working on are similar to the ST ones, though they are not complete on chassis. When the Falcon boards are finished, if people send me their old PSU I can fit the PCB to the chassis though it generally ramps up costs a lot due to posting stuff about and time to fit etc. Saying that the price of finding a original Falcon PSU probably isn't going to work out much cheaper anyway.

Hi Exxos,
My problem is I have an USA PSU(Bought Falcon from USA), so could this still be done by swapping that one out.
If yes roughly How much would I be Looking at including the postage from your end. I would not be wanting the old PSU back.
Cheers

You would have to check postage costs your end, see how heavy the PSU is you have now. It would probably be about £15 to post me your old one, I think its about £22 to post my PSU's to USA.

My ST PSU boards are £55, but I don't have a price on the falcon one yet as I've not priced them up yet or finished building them. At a guess the Falcon one is likely to be £75 mark. Possible something like £15 to transplant the board into your chassis. So a estimate would be £130 round trip.

Chris's PSU's are sweet, bought 2 of them and threw them on my scope. Compared them to original Atari recapped PSU's and found that there is equal or less noise on his supply's. And they are beefier with built in over current protection.

Hi Exxos,
Thanks for your reply
Falcon going- Falcon not going, it's a no brainer, I am happy with that sort of pricing to have a running falcon.
when you eventually work out the costings let me know please so I can start budgeting.
Cheers

I'm using a PicoPSU in one of my Falcons, as I needed to power both an Afterburner and a graphics card. There are many advantages of using a PicoPSU - small size, low price, powerful, very little heat generated. However, you'd need some soldering skills to adapt it to your Falcon.
