I noticed my MegaSTe has the correct Ajax chip and the correct PAL chip....but I still need a DMA chip for an Atari STe and now, a Mega ST blitter chip and DMA chip too.


Last a MegaSTe PAL chip (different from the above one) that makes able the FPU installation.

I will find part numbers to help locating chips...

Send them an email, when I dealt with them the guy there spoke good English. Pretty quick service to the UK from there.

I'm also looking for a DMA chip, have been for a while.

BEST do have them and did ship stuff overseas but they might be fussy about some countries (?which one) and postage can cost more than the item esp. for small orders. It makes more sense to get a US contact to buy for you and have them post it, if at all possible.

I think I saw some of the chips on the Chinese IC reseller/refurb sites but didn't try to buy. Generally though it's near impossible to find the DMA chip unless you take it from another machine and there's not much point in that unless that machine is beyond recovery or has other 'un-sourcable' chips dead or missing....

Will probably do the soldering this week. The chip looks fine. There's some tiny solder residue on the legs from the pull but not enough to cause a problem with socketing it.
