Wow, and this is a stock, 1 meg machine (and I can't tell from the description if it
even has a hard drive or not)!

Noticed that, but that pic is actually in use in other places around the Internet,
so I'm still not sure...

you must be having a photographic memory recognizing those pics from somewhere on the web!

Not really, I just happened to remember seeing it before and using google's image search for Atari STacy
confirmed it.

I surely do *wish* I had photographic memory! :)

BTW, that machine did end up going for $570.00. Amazing.

Yeah, its actually doing pretty good right now. Waiting for final reassembly on
fully updated GALs, and Ralcool's updated HD mod.

Once I get those, and everything is 100%, I'm thinking a new paint job maybe,
some racing stripes...stuff like that. :)

The seller of the €5000 Milan T40 is claiming to have sold it for just under €3000 according to one of the Atari Facebook groups.

Unless I'm much mistaken, I think you could actually still purchase a new Hades for less than that: http://www.medusacomputer.com/thes-hades.html
STE: Desktopper case, IDE interface, UltraSatan (8GB + 512Mb) + HXC floppy emulator. Plus some STE's/STFM's

Wow, let me know who he sold it to, and I'll sell my T40 too :-)

Atari Falcon in a battered box with no photos of or description of the actual Falcon for US$2240? Oh and about $300 postage if you buy from North America. Any takers? Why do people even bother listing this stuff?

Fredi really should take that page down, or change it to read "dis-continued". He stopped selling them over a decade ago. I know because I tried to get another one about a month after I bought mine.

Finally this listing looks good value, comparatively...

Dang, I've got some of these titles. Guess I'll have to re-think whether
or not I want to hold on to them. <snicker>

Nah, I think I'll hold on to them until selling them will pay off the
mortgage on my house. At those rates, shouldn't be too long. :)

Actually some other things that I kept in a list on Ebay had their prices jump up and down hugely, usually by adding zeros on to the price which I got the impression was more a system fault than dishonest selling practice. Some of those things are still on my lists and have returned to their normal original low prices. However these are not retro things.
