Wanted: DB19/DSUB19 male socket connector for PCB mount.

Postby dhedberg » Mon Jun 19, 2017 9:49 am

Hello,

One of my Falcons has a monitor port with a broken GND pin. I've been searching for a replacement socket connector (PCB mount, just like the one in the Falcon) for at least a year without finding anyone selling them.
I'd like to buy one or two if somebody has spare ones, or if you know where these can be bought online, please let me know!

Thanks,
Daniel

Best Electronics is the only potential source I can think of.

You can buy the male connectors (for making cables)

https://www.bigmessowires.com/2016/06/0 ... connector/

You can also buy the female ones for cables too

http://www.electronicplus.com/content/P ... subcat=cco

But I can't find anywhere that sells the female PCB connectors. If you can find any scrap Apple II or Mac classics they had them.

Female PCB connectors are available on ebay, but I'm looking for male PCB connectors...

I guess you will find out they simply do not exist on market.

Well, I shot off a mail to Best to check for you.

Thank you for your E-Mails dated 06-19-17 Tommy.

Q. Do you have the F030 video port db19m pcb mount, Atari part number: C302823-001 in stock? How much is it?

A. We have had a few requests (maybe 3 to 4 in the last 15+ years) for them, but never stocked them. Do
not know anybody than has them in stock Tommy.

Regards
Bradley Koda

Sadly it looks like an impossible part. If you can't make your video port working, it looks like you will have to go frankenstein and hack something up. :(
