What ever happened to Dave Small of Gadgets by Small?

So, when I was into Atari back in the late 80s early 90s I was a fan of David Small and his company, Gadgets by Small. I think he was a unique Atari icon and made some real awesome Atari hardware items.

After Atari closed shop, what ever happened with David Small? Did he move onto another line of work, big company, self employed, world traveller, ?????

Always been curious of where he went off to.
