Marcer, as you splited V8 and Empire, did you split the Reps between first A-Team, le Groupe Hofa and Shogun as first independent crews ?

And did you include STCS cracks into the bladerunners ?

And I'm sure that Tsunoo and Boss are really missing, between 85 and 88, with 42 Crew, Copy Service Stuttgart and Ford Perfect, they released a lot of cracks (more than 40 each I'm sure...)
...8bits are enough...

I have for sure Splitted up all crews.
But my problem is. I dont have a single hack from A-Team, Hofa or Shogun. so if somebody have many stuff from those guys.. Please let me know!!

I have plenty of hacks from CSS, Ford Perfect and 42 crew.
i'll try to prepear an little update of this list. since i got one guy collection last week. and just sorted it out. so I think there will be some more changes..

but if you have some collection you can share please help me on this project..

I will try to write down a complete list of which stuff i got from all different crews.. but it will be quite hughe list!

dont know if this will be in any intresst for anyone?

Groupe Hofa :
- Roadwars

A-Team :
- Street Fighter

But check cracktros Jace has added, those 3 crews are there...

CSS :
- Mission Elevator with a nice intro (CSS logo with We are the champions sample)

STCS and Tsunoo, that's not that esay as we have to make the difference between Blade runners era, STCS and Tsunoo as alone cracker and STCS member under the name The Lord..

From memory Tsunoo cracked :
- L'arche du capitaine Blood
- Silent Service
- Rambo 3
- Hardball! (nice ascii scrolltext :D)
- Enduro Racer
a lot of french craps :D

Do you want me to provide you just the list of the disks as well ?

STCS :
- The Classics vol 1 (nice intro) by The Lord

I'll provide you what I have...

Just to get some more fun, here is the point of view of Tsunoo Rhilty from the TROLL & Co. aka The Lord from STCS I have translated...

My question was : who was the best cracker ? (according to the fact that Tsunoo left the scene in 89)

My "outstanding fact" was to crack Dungeon Master. Else I cracked about 10 games under the name 42-Crew france as "Tsunoo" was too wellkown in those times, and I had the chance to know the Ubisoft importer guy [Shazz : which explains that all ubisoft french craps from those times were cracked by Tsunoo]

[...]

I can tell you that the best cracker was 42-Crew : Martin Backschat [shazz : you know FastCopy...] and I can claim it there was nobody better (and probably B.O.S.S would claim it too)

But, as a french cracker, in those times, I was quite alone and the protections were quite easy (excluding Dungeon Master I cracked under the name 42-Crew). So I was a good cracker but not better than the others. But for sure I was the best for the surrounding part : the communication [Shazz : getting the games before they should be released, swapping,...]. Obviously, a cracker who only cracks in his bedroom... it's useless. That's why I was well appreciated and known: I never pretented to be a God or smarter than anybody (as they were on Apple II)

Eh, eh, interesting no ? but for sure it is obvious that the protections were harder to crack in the later years... but the tools were better too...

What about Martin's point of view ?

Eh eh I found a text I was written when I was 15 years old, I was looking for all crews in the scrolltext and giving notes to the cracktros :D

So I lost a lot of disks but the text is still there :D

http://tmpstore.free.fr/ST/

It's quite funny for me to read this doc now... and it will give an idea of how in the end of the eighties the cracks were spread in Paris... really few UK things (only one Medway boys CD !), lotsa french and german cracks..

And there are some strange things, like Was (not was) in STCS, DMA in the reps, or Equinox as the Rebels :D 8O

Let say that my english was not that good 15 years ago :D

And I probably misunderstood some greetings :D
But for sure I remember that this was (not was) was really a mystery for me at this period... no greets, simple messages like in Kick Off... (ah ah ah it's a little smaller rob no ?"or sth like that...)

eh eh :D

I hope you found this list as funny as I found when I found it on a old disk :D
Just for the little story... TNS, ST60, ST 78, Renegade are... me :D
Always wanted to be a cracker... :D
