PM in outbox

Postby darklight » Thu May 22, 2008 7:58 am

I have a PM in my outbox - how do I send it? There is only a reply button which replied to my own message (i.e. sends it to me) or if I edit the message and click submit, it says it has sent but it just sits there in my outbox :?:

Whats going on?!

Maybe the inbox of the recipient is full and he can't recieve new PMs at the moment?

Is that what normally happens when their box is full? Wouldnt I get a message saying that?

I really don't know..this just came to mind from the "PM quota" approach this board software takes.
Try PMming me - if it gets through, it must have something to do with the recipient (and likely his inbox).

Well thats odd - my PM to you is stuck in my outbox too!

I'm pressing submit after typing the message - cant be doing anything wrong, surely?!?

Can you try PMimg me, see if that works?

My reply too, seems it saves a copy there by default. Maybe nothing wrong then and all is ok?
Wait for a reply on your original PM ;)

*EDIT* I begin to remember, the message appears in the outbox as lng as it hasn't been read by the reciever. It should disappear there when the recipient does read the message.

I don't know if this board is the same as another one I use, but with that one the message remained in the outbox UNTIL the recipient 'picks up' (reads) the message...

After this, the message will be in the "Sent Box"... as well as the recipients "In Box"!!

Cheers

Yes messages deffo stay in the Outbox until the recipient opens them, and if the sender edits or deletes the message before it is opened then the recipient either gets the edited message or no message :)
I know this as I have experimented by sending myself messages (sad eh) :)

And if anyone tries to suggest I have been anything but helpful here I will rip off their head and poo down their neck :) (joking)
