Just a note that it will take some time until a new patch will be posted to the site.
I'm working on a new feature right now (no, it's not CT60 compatibility yet  ), and this will take a few more weeks to get finished.
So please bear with me a little longer. :)

Now that the site has ben resurrected again, it's time to put some new stuff online! :)

Sim City is the first title to feature a new core for AES games, so they can be launched from any screen resolution. Other goodies, like snapshots, are available for this type of game as well now. Yeah, I know, you can save your game in Sim City already, so snapshots are not really necessary, but as they're easy to implement I just left them in.

Now, on to the CT60...

nice one! again!

The STe Xtra power pack version I have didn't want to run on the Falcon... it has no protection code word or disk based!

my technique was a quick build then set it to fast... turn off the tv and come back in a day or two! :D

And that strategy actually worked? Didn't you get lot of complaints from your citizens?

Btw, the original version I used for the patch, ran quite well on the Falcon, apart from game time flying by too fast at 16MHz.

Really addictive game anyway... :)

I hope you're not paying much for this host! Sorry to hear about that. We can't be using up that much bandwidth can we?

Nope, not a single Cent. :)
Perhaps I should send a donation to my host again, I failed to do so for some time now.

It's really strange. My bandwidth limit is 1.8 gigs/month. This doesn't look much, but I never had any issues with that until February. The maximum bandwidth I ever had before was about 1 gig at the end of the month.

It's annoying that I can't even get to my log files to see what may have caused the problem.

For all bat-and-ball fans (which includes myself) here's the second installment in the classic Arkanoid series: Arkanoid 2 - Revenge of Doh. Another fine arcade conversion by Peter Johnson.

This will also work on the CT60 again. :)

Klaz you are my hero - I was waiting for a proper HD version for ages.
Definitly the best Breakout/Arkanoid on the ST (although even with the trainer, I could never finish the final boss in Level 32)

The final boss (Doh!) is very hard to beat without the trainer.
You have to hit him 18 times without loosing a life. Then he will transform into another shape and you will hit to have him another 18 times (all without loosing a life).

Will the trainer on, he requires 3 hits only. :)

Klapauzius wrote:It may not be quite the hit as part one, but Arkanoid 2 still is a very nice arcade conversion. Yeah, controls are a bit more sluggish due to it's 2 VBLs frame rate as opposed to the super smooth 1 VBL refresh in the first installment. It makes up for that with lots of new and fancy bonus items though and the number of levels has been doubled. One of the best Breakout variants on the ST in any case!

I wonder if magazine testers ever realised this. Also if other breakouts are at 1VBL, on ST or Amiga. Never understood how so many could be dismissive of the great Arkanoid.

I also have trouble controlling it. I guess I just need a good controller, so to place the bat with precision.

Arkanoid is best played with a large trackball - same as the arcade version ;)
