Having finished my version of Defender of the Crown I can finally win a jousting tournament - something I didn't manage during all those years.

Well, ok, I still need a trainer to win it. ;-)

Enjoy! :-)

Hello Klaz,
I really enjoy playing this game with the trainer.
This trainer is great, so I ask if it's possible to easily made a special version with all opponents starting with, for example, 1000 gold pieces (much battles 8) ?
I searched with mutil to find the 5000 gold pieces (5000 and 1388) but there is a lot of occurrences :(
Thanks !

Ok, here's the deal:
select the "loadsa money" trainer and you will start with 5000 gold pieces. Your 5 opponents will all start with 1000 gold.

Good thing I kept my trainer notes, so this went real fast. ;-)

I never had played Rolling Ronny before but when I saw it coming up in STOT the next week I thought I'd give it a try. It was quite fun to patch and play test this game, so I hope you'll enjoy it too. :-)
Get Rolling Ronny here.

On a side note, I've started with adding some bits to the About page. Not much in it yet, but I'll see that I'll keep it updated from time to time.

Yeah, Minter's style is not quite my cup of tea.
Too psychedelic for my tastes... :-)
I know he has some followers though.

Hi Maartau,

the original I used for patching had score loading/saving enabled, so this didn't need any extra efforts. :-)

I'd be interested to see a 'fixed' version Race Drivin', the in game text talks of a rewritten engine and appears to play on an 8mnz ST as Hard Drivin' does on the Falcon!

Here's another classic title: Starglider. Despite its good reputation I must admit that I didn't really enjoy this game. On the other hand, I'm quite sure someone else will. :-)

Please note that there will be a black screen for a few seconds before the game starts, while its unpacking all the data. (You didn't like depacker flashing, see? ;-) )

This game may be more notable for the early 3D-engine it's based upon than for its playability, but if you love tough puzzles you might want to try it anyway: here's Driller.

And now for some boring technical drivel: ;-)

I discovered a 'bug' in my code, that would prevent the games from working under MagiC under certain circumstances. Well, actually I found that it's a bug in MagiC's xbios set_screen function. It would only occur if you started the game under MagiC + the size of your desktop screen was larger than the standard ST screen size + you did *not* have NVDI installed (you should have that, anyway ;-) ). That problem won't persist from this game on. As a side effect, I spent some more time with MagiC on my Falcon now and have installed Jinnee as my standard desktop there, which is a really nice piece of software. (Context menus with right mouse button, links, great window handling, etc.) :-)

Another issue has been adressed as well now: in the (unlikely?) case that you're using some kind of PMMU related memory protection on your 68030 based machine (like MinT with memory protection, MAGTOROM, Outside, etc.), you would have not been able to start most of my fixes. Well, it turned out that my PMMU handling code had been too basic to cope with protected memory. In this game and in future releases memory protection will now be disabled when starting the game and re-instated on a quit to the desktop. Well, I should have studied the official ULS3 sources more intensely. ;-)

Added "The Seven Gates of Jambala" to the site. :-)

This game was quite a bitch to get working 100% on the Falcon030 and the TT. More than 30 individual patches have been applied to make it run stably on the newer machines. I've also fixed the 'rolling rasters' issue on the Steem emulator.

This ain't Thalion's best effort for sure, so if you're too bored to play the game in a regular manner there's also an internal cheat mode which will get you to the end of the game in a wink. ;-)
