There is a way around the .zip problem. Name all the zip's as .jpg and tell users to right click on link and 'save target as'. Then they can rename jpg files to .zip

Or store them as .RAR files?
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Try:
http://www.freewebspace.net/
which lists all the free providers.
Don't forget to use Firefox+AdBlock before going on this site (just an advice !).

About the torrent, there is no need to make a big zip, there is a tool to publish a ton of files: TorrentZip.

BTW, I recently downloaded the set of Mame Roms from:
http://full.pleasuredome.org.uk/
and they provide a set of Atari ST games (but to seeders only).

But aren't you going to put up a site with history and such? I don't know what you're Empire site looks like but what they're trying to stop with that rule is just people using the site as a "virtual harddrive". Like you can see from Deus Ex Atari that is hosted on 110mb.com I have loads of zip files on there and have had no complaints from 110mb about it.

Yes that's it, not only just spreadind "ZIP" or "Rar" , a small story, a "global" presentation of the 2 sides : cracking, few coding, ...

For the moment I checked/certified 244 disks : continued others projects since many times, then I have to see for the "technical part" (redesign, res, ...) : in one word reputting things clean from start.

BTW many thanks to Marcer for MSA converts : with * ALL * your tips I think it should be possible... I also have to rebuild at least a new PC to make an FTP place + will make some big zip (around 100megs  ) & spread them via "filesharing" (or something like this :D ).

It deserves nothing if I'm the only ones to have those disks + I really hard worked to find all of them & reputting them clean :D .

- Concerning the news about this, don't worry "I always finish what I started" + I keep you all informed -

Many thanks for all your help & support, it proves such a project must be re-opened  .
