IslandNet : I haz a Retro BBS !

Postby Orion_ » Sat Nov 07, 2015 10:12 am

I never known the BBS era but I like retro feelings and instantly loved the BBS concept when I first heard about it.
It took me some years but I finally made my own BBS server !
At first it was intended to run on my Atari Falcon with Sting and a Netusbee card, but I didn't want to leave the Falcon always turned on to avoid frying it prematurely.
So I moved the BBS server to a small Raspberry Pi and it's now live !
I slowed down the data sending so you keep the "retro" feeling of an old modem :)
I recommend using the great SyncTerm terminal for best ANSI art view.

Enjoy ! \o/

So what BBS software are you using? Is it actual Atari software running on the
Raspberry or?

Thanks, and congrats.
