Elansar, an adventure game for Falcon 030

Postby Orion_ » Sat Jun 09, 2012 2:46 pm

Elansar is a "Point & Click" like adventure game with high quality raytraced graphics.

I've been working on this game on my spare time since two years, making all the graphics, music, story and programming myself.

My goal is to release the game on old computers and video game consoles, including the Atari Falcon 030, the Firebee, and others to define.
The game will be sold on CD for most of the platforms.

The game is available for preorders on Atari Falcon 030 and Firebee !

Check the project page here : http://onorisoft.free.fr/elansar/elansar.htm

I will wait to order the CTPCI version.
Will it be possible to have both version on the same disc (CTPCI+030 videl basis version)?

Another question, do you think the CTPCI verson will be runnable under mint?

Thanks, i can't wait to play it :D

when you order with paypal, your postal address should be included, but in case it is not, then you must tell me so I can send you the cd by mail :)

Thanks for your interest in the game :)
I don't know if an admin can move this topic in the "News & Announcements" section, maybe it's more appropriate ?

It looks very nice, I am going to preorder :)
But tell me how would it be possible to release it in cartridge form for Jaguar? It cannot fit to the 4MB cartridge!

from the test I've done it can fit on 4mb cartridge, using BPEG compression for the pictures (it's like jpeg on jaguar), and it will be in 320x240 (so not as detailed as the falcon version which is 640x480)
I'm just waiting for the Jagware team to confirm that they will produce jaguar cartridges.

for those who ordered, would you agree to wait a bit longer and have a german translated version, plus a Firebee & CTPCI-Radeon version in True Color added to the original Falcon version ?
so all the "atari computer" versions would be on one and unique cd.
or should I sell a separate version for true color ? (available later)

IF "wait longer" does not mean "wait one more year", I personally had no problem with this.

no it would more likely be "end of july" instead of "mid-july"

Orion, I guess we can all wait a few weeks more.
Btw, I'll wait for you to come at home with the final CD "cher voisin de Maisons-Alfort" :)

I'd rather wait for the true colour version. I assume this will also work with the SuperVidel?

Dal > I don't know if supervidel is compatible with the new video mode xbios call of the radeon/firebee
I will try to do GEM, but not sure if it will be fast enough for the graphics effect I want to do. (cross fading/scrolling)
