Would you beileve I've only just copped that  , what seems to be very clever is blind foresight ... I did not see this when I made and secondly, the issue of that ST format magazine was actually one MugUK gave me back in 2009 at retro reunited, as it was not listed on sticky's list of scan and I'm in the progress of scanning it at the moment, so this quite a turn of un expected events..in which you've brought to my attention...cheers fella

It's very nice but would it be too small overall compared to the word ST?
Could hardly see it.

Sorry about the late reply, but I've been in Devon on holiday for a week. And bloody marvelous it was too!

@GreyFox - Thank you for taking time to come up with this. I love the design, it really has the feel of an early nineties magazine header! One thing troubles me, though: is that the final image? There seems to be a lot of aliasing and jaggy lines (most evident around the black text and magazine covers) if you can make it look a bit smoother, we've got a hit on our hands! 8)

Oh, and by the way, the first five The One Magazines are now available for download!

Happy Reading!

Aah, that's loads better! Any chance of some anti-aliasing on the big 'ST'? If that was a bit smoother it would be perfect. Sorry if I'm being picky!

And fuji logo = win, btw! :D

Are you doing some work for Lorfarius' mag? Can't wait to see that come to fruition. Did you do the mock-ups? They look tres chic. 8)

Yes indeed I'm responsible for entire look and graphic work for the Nesbit magazine, so it is a tremendous undertaking..so I was unable to do it for free , as I'm type setting and creating magazine layouts and compositing it together from scratch..you'd of thought a magazine publication would of snapped me up for a job..as the only thing I'm not doing is writing he actually articles..but everything else..doing about 4 people's job..

But thanks for the kudos

so do I :)..allot of work is being done to it...shame I hate the NES :( now if it was an Atari Magazine..hmmmmm..regarding CV stuff..this is in a real long line with other stuff..allot of potential customers don't know what Retro is or get it?..so I tend to keep it down the line in the portfolio.

I have like four or five issues of the ACE-St. Louis newsletter from around 1992-93. (ACE = Atari Computer Enthusiasts)

I intend to scan them this fall. I can't get to it right now because they are in my house, which is under construction after being hit by the STL Good Friday tornado earlier this year.

I may also know someone who has a lot more of them. If so, I hope to scan many more.

Would these be of interest for this project?

I'm sure they are of interest.

About the format, I think 'cbr' for CDisplay is the best. It's simply an archive "rar" of jpg files renamed to cbr.
Adobe Reader isn't so good at navigating old mags, or comics, my opinion.

I would be very interested, thank you! When you get around to scanning, you can upload to the FTP in the original post if you don't have another uploading option. Cheers!

Offering different viewing options and file formats is planned long term. I thought CBR would be a good way to go as I have read comics comfortably that way in the past (I read Maus via CDisplay). I also plan to offer separate .jpg's to facilitate a searchable index feature (way down the line). There have been suggestions of a dedicated magazine reader software (like Issuu), but I have yet to see a workable solution.
