Goodbye.

Is it worth archiving any of her site? Did she open-source any of her work? Can it live on after her passing?

If anyone else has pictures of Alison, I'm sure everyone would appreciate them being
posted here.

I'd like to to see them, for sure. Another way to honor and respect her memory as well.

Thank you.

this is extreamly sad news not news at all !! i felt something wrong several time
i felt there was something wrong in many directions with alison over the last year

she had been departed from the board too long
and had fallen out with her long term partner

i rue the day alison died !! what a wonderfull person she was!!!
she was an insperation to the whole community and will be extreamly missed
by me ...!

if i was a younger man and she was a woman i meet i would love her
as she as a like minded person and would have been my number 1 choice
i cant express how bad we all feel about this at many levels ...

but as is my buddhist nature
she has already been reborn to this earth as has done many times
and the whole planet becomes wise in every way !! possible
as is the afinity of humanity with her dimise
as she returns
to return again within the cycle of life and death

a baby cried on the 29 april

Simbo, you have sometimes difficult to express your technical knowledge. At least, manytimes I have a hard time understanding your posts...

But in this case, man, you were wonderful and touching. Yes, agree, well said Simbo.

I am sad to hear this. Difficult to say - as it doesn't feel really legitimate to express such things since I never met Ally personally. I valued her technical contribution to this forum as well as her more personal posts. As a fellow biker I will say that we all know what risks we take, we live and enjoy biking in the hope that we will not be taken by this kind of accident. How very sad this is. I hope her last days were happy ones and offer my condolences to her family & all who knew her.
regards
BJ

It's worth noting that the domain expiry is set to the 6th of May so I can't see it remaining up for much longer.

I just now discovered this thread. I'm shocked. Nothing I can say will ease the pain for the family. She will be missed among that Atari community indeed. :(

Oh my God!

Alison.. What did you do to yourself, girl?

A lovely lady, willing to help anyone out, any time.

I miss her already. But the missing will grow stronger as time moves on. Damn, I can't believe this!

Thank you.

I am still quite chocked. I knew Alison for many years, and from time to time we talked a lot. We never met IRL, which I deeply regret today.

She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Indeed terrible news. A great talent and a real survivor, we talked from time to time about the many scrapes and situations she'd gotten herself into. Probably the person on the scene I felt closest to. I'll miss her pragmatic outlook on life.

Terribly sad news. I have on many occasions chatted to Alison both on here and more recently on Facebook and will miss talking to her. When I look her up on Facebook now I get redirected to the following notice:-
