Thanks a lot guys. :)
Yes, TT rulezzzz big time. ;)

Ah, Paulo was so kind to export for me the music into a regular MOD. With this, I should be able to convert it also for Atari Falcon, into XM (Growling player - if works correctly - Sqward mentioned some problems) and into Digital Home Studio's format.
Will have to find some time.

I wonder myself whether Falcon will manage 16 channels, although maybe it should as it's only in 8-bit quality.

Ah well, we will see. Or hear. ;)

Greetzzzzzzzz!!!!!!

...although I like various kinds of music.

For some time already I was wondering whether it is possible to make symphonic music using only Atari TT. I have a standard machine. With 4Mb of RAM.

Well, the final effect isn't very satisfactory, however - here is a song with this kind of music, made entirely for Hex/Atari TT.

Well, could be worse, hahaha.

Thx a lot.

With even more pleasure I can state, that HexTracker & Atari TT have beaten (almost) all the powerful modern PC machines in the "WildChip" compo of "Winter Chip X / Battle of the Bits" - it took the 2nd place. :)

All works (also for small Atari machines) -

Finally, the idea would be to collect all those "big Atari" songs I've made and compile them into some small album. But this year was kinda harsh to me, so I'm not sure I manage to do it. I would put there stuff from Falcon, TT and those 2 made with 520ST+Roland module (MIDI).
And the HexTracker would be one of the main tools used there.
Heheh, the time came I cannot actually imagine my Atari-music-life without the prog. :) :)

Please remember that:

- this is a "FOR EVER BETA" product provided "AS IT IS";
- it should work with a 512 KB STF (hopefully E) but 1 MB is better and can handle from 1 to 16 voices in colour or high res mono 640x400 / 71 Hz;
- the STE output was tested with STeem (with a virtual ST machine up to 32 MHz :) );
- the virtual mix/dma core was STF built, with the STE mixing on top of it, so it is not near as fast as
Lance's one thas was STE built;
- some Protracker features/commands: BPM, finetune, set finetune ($E5), and funk it ($EF) are not
suported;
- the included code can be used by anyone to replay MODs in Hextracker or supported formats;
- please have a look at the reference text file;
- have a test at it on real HW, if you can;

Enjoy it,

Hi Paulo,
thanks for that great tool.
Would be possible to add MIDI support?

Personally I suspect it would be a sh*tload of work, sadly. Especially considering that Hex is already the most powerful music-tool on both: ST and STE.

But if it's an easy thing to do, then I wouldn't protest. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Hello !

MIDI support is not part of the plans. Sorry about that.
The best that can happen any time soon is for me to solve a nasty bug in version 0.850 that would allow to deliver a fully working "trash play" option.
That feature allows to speed up the replay by a variable amount depending on the module.
The state of the code is the same since July 2013.

Paulo.

Just wanna say thanks again for all the hard work on this cool piece of software.

Every time I fire up my STacy, I play something with Hextracker - it's that good. :)
