Only one type of suitable product + only a limited supply of said product + queue of people waiting = a fast selling product (also known as panic buying, as in if you don't buy one now, you may never get one)

Just to let you know- my USD is working great and yes it is worth it -had a little problem with hddriver r but followed jookie docs and was up and running 2- 2 GIG cards to start-it is not as hard to format as it looks-if an old man can do it- you kids can-learn more too. oh what fun-GO ATARI. russ

Talking about things comming I have "talked" with Pera today a great stuffs on the tube for USD. Should be able to have multiple 2GB bootable & DOS compatible partitions ...
Also 2GB access for Satan (proto works great on my "old" Satan)

Yeah, too bad that it doesn't work combined with every ACSI device (but it should, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't, but some measurements with that device might be helpful).

Well, the SCSI and IDE are getting more obsolete and harder to get, so I probably won't make an host-adapter for that... I would rather focus on the media and devices which you can actually buy in a PC shop (and probably still will be able to do so in 2 years from now on).

About your data migration from SCSI to a card - it might be better to buy a cheap SCSI controller for PC, make an image of that SCSI drive and if it's smaller then your SD card (smaller then 4 GB or 8 GB), then you could just write the image directly to the card - that might work, but I've never tried that.

Yes you are right SCSI is not really the future
It is just that I am frustrated of not beeing able to use my SCSI drives! I have more than 10 drives and some of them have a capacity of 16GB but unfortunately my ICD card is limited to 1GB only

I probably do not need to recover the content of the drives as I beleive I have already a backup on PC. But your idea of conecting the drives to PC and use image program like the one from Pera is a good idea. The image sw should be able to read directly from SCSI drives.

For the problem with my ICD card with USD, I am almost sure that this is a problem with the ICD card, because when I connect the USD on the ICD output port I do not see any activity on the USD led? So looks like the data are not correctly propagated to the output port?

I was hoping to use this for test of multiple devices for the new Pera driver. But I have been able to do some test using my old Megafile 20. I have also been able to connect Satan and UltraSatan drives at the same time (this one was important as apparently there is a problem of timeout under certain conditions on the Satan drive when using ICD extended command).
I have also bought another USD so I should be able to connect them at the same time (not tried yet).
