Do they still charge you 5EUR extra for retrieving the money like last time? if so, please tell us in advance so noone has to send money twice (or missing amounts)...

Before I pay I need to know one thing. If I order cable B, can this be used like cable A with only the UltraSatan attached, until I eventually get a Link 2 SCSI etc to plug something else in? Will this work or will I need to order both cables A and B?

Hi there,

Simon: as I remember, you're from Germany => it's Euro-Euro transfer, i.e. no additional fees are needed (in fact, you even can't set anything other than SHA (shared) kind of payment). This is one of the things why I welcomed Euro -- no more stupid bank transfer fees.

Shredder: you can definitely use cable B, the only difference is there's one more "slot", nothing more. It's like SCSI cable -- you can have 6 slots on the cable but it's OK to use just one of them.

Thanks for clearing that one up for me mikro. I'm waiting for the money to transfer from my bank account to my PayPal account and then I will pay for my UltraSatan and cable B. The transfer process seems to take longer with PayPal these days.

Huh, €0.75 charge to 'manually' perform a bank transfer in my bank (AIB)... apparently free to do it online, so I'll try at home. Can't wait :)

I paid with 'credit card to paypal'...

First I made an attempt to pay 'paypal to paypal'.
But that was wrong (cause I have no money at my PayPay account, I use my creditcard for payments).

I asked if I was one of the first to finish the payment, but I was only one of the first 20 to pay. :(

I guess when the UltraSatans will be shipped, they will ship in that order. Or perhaps you will send all of them at the same day.
Anyway, can't wait to get it! :)

I cannot believe I am STILL waiting for the funds to be transfered from my bank account to my PayPal account! It used to happen during the same week and it has been nearly two now!

Shredder, as long as you're a verified Paypal user, you should be able to just pay the money via Paypal. Paypal will direct debit your bank account and take the money. No need to transfer from bank account to Paypal account.

Maybe that only works if you have also registered a credit card, I'm not sure. I've registered a credit card with them, so if the direct debit to my bank doesn't work, they know they can get the money off my card.

I regularly pay for things in the way you describe but when I saw PayPal to PayPal, I assumed it meant when my PayPal account has credit in. Anyway I got an email yesterday saying the transfer was complete...finally!

Re: UltraSatan -- accepting payments

Did everyone else who paid with PayPal get this message:

Hello everybody,

as I promised, here are some news regarding the blocked paypal accounts. After many emails, automated responses and fighting their stupid rules all I can do is to ... refund all the money from paypal accounts to you.

No kidding, my options were stripped to two alternatives (by paypal staff):

1. Refund all money.
2. Not to refund money but I have to keep them on paypal for 180 days. Since I *need* that money for manufacturing, it's nearly the same as option 1 because these 180 days are meant as the time period in which I have to manufacture & ship my "products".

If you're curious why all this hassle now and not with SatanDisks or P2AM -- I have no idea. Maybe it all started with that strange unauthorized payment I received, they noticed two accounts, quite a money on them, my "strange" answers about not being possible to show them some shipping documents and things got pretty fast movement. The basic problem is the paypal guaranties buyers (i.e. you) some protection -- you can made a claim to seller when the stuff you have paid for (via paypal) is not shipped. For me it means I have to ship max. 7 days after I receive a payment so there's no way out, I tried very hard to convince them, really.

I'm out of ideas how to solve it in another way. Maybe if you're from United States, you could contact their HQ by phone and ask some real person about some advice / exception / miracle; email communication is way to hell, I was mailing with different person everytime and they don't seem to be interested in fact all of you agree with such schedule conditions at all.

So, what it does mean for you / us:

- if you have paid by another method (bank, moneybookers, cash), everything is OK, your money are received / noted and you don't need to do anything
- if you have paid by paypal (either by credit card or by paypal), I'll wait until April the 1st (for some miracle ;-) and then I instruct paypal guys to do a mass refund all payments which arrived since March 1st
- it's clear payment phase must be extended, you'll need to think about another way to send a payment (moneybookers.com seems to be most appropriate)

So that's it. If you can help me in any way, feel free to do so because I tried everything in my power, emailing with paypal staff is no way. And yes, I'm aware how are you pissed off, believe me, it's not a half as I am.

Sad regards,
Miro Kropacek aka MiKRO

Yeah, can't be helped really.

Looks like bank transfer is the option I am left with but this will cost £9.50(10.1 Euros) from this side & possibly a second charge from Mikro's side. I have asked for confirmation if his bank charges to recieve funds as some do.

Has anyone used the suggested alternative of moneybrokers.com? 8O

Hi there,

I just explored some options (paypal alternatives) and that moneybrokers.com really doesn't seem that bad. I used it two or three times, charges nearly none (1.90 Euro for credit card charge, 0.50 Euros for sending money -- Paypal takes 3.4% + 0.35 Euro for credit cards!)and what's the most important -- there wont be needed any special options like "paypal to paypal" and "credit card to paypal" -- everyone can choose their favorite method for uploading the money to moneybookers (check, bank transfer, credit card) and I'll just receive the right sum.

I'm aware of the fact it's not such wellknown as paypal is but you know -- what are the alternatives? For US guys bank transfer can be as much as $50 (!), cash in letter is not very secure... I could only end with another money website. And since moneybookers.com at least I know, it seems the most appropriate solution...

Once again, sorry for such crap but ... there's very little I can do. Guys from open pandora project were forced to refund hundreds of thousands (!) Euros in this way. Exactly the same reason. It's true I should read that conditions for sellers carefully (20 days limit for shipping) but -- SatanDisk was OK, P2AM was OK...
