A new Administrator - Techie Alison

I'm sure no-one on here will have any complaints about Techie Alison being promoted from moderator to administrator (*).

Her skills in the hardware forum and general peacekeeping haven't gone unnoticed so I'm sure you're all glad that she's going to whip you lot into shape if you do decide to step over the line. So those of you who might have found me not entirely approachable (what? me?) can now speak to a genuine lady *and* she won't charge you by the minute either - a win-win situation

It was meant more in the style of someone who's not just pretending to be a lady just to get male attention. Aly gets her fair share of attention due to her being one of only 2 current (herself & daeghnao) female members on here and 1 of the 3 or 4 in the total life of this forum.

Over-attentive males seem to latch onto our female members in an all too apparent "ugh . wooooman .. must propose to her" way (and probably not just on this forum!) and it's fun to see the way Aly deflects all the offers in such a polite way

I think I am right in saying that the Thatcher household was Commodore. Mrs T only pretended to like Spectrums so she could be seen to be one of the people.

There was a rumour that her husband Denis did use to hack about on a Tangerine Microtan. Apparently he was real hardcore and just used the hex pad.

Yep, she is the perfect choice for the job going by everything I have seen of her on the forums. A sound working knowledge of the Atari ST platform and a dedication to it I can only marvel at.
