Thanks Mikro, Fixed.

Wongck, not too far off topic, don't you have a page covering CTPCI installation. I've seen Patrice's pag. Getting organized to do the task :)

Yeap did one HowTo using a cheapo programmer interface from China ( according to Trump, he stole the design from a US company).

But it was written on the AF Wiki.... and well, you our wiki... :(

Hi,

I created the English version. You can find it on my server.

IM_COL.ACC solved the problem. Even works perfectly on my ATI Mach 32:

There is option inside to disable screensaver. Cubase now works like a charm.

Just installed my VoFa adapter and Nova drivers. Yes, this solution works, but the IM_COL.ACC takes up some memory. Why can't the Nova driver do this itself?

I made an English version of XMENU.PRG if anyone wants it. I think it is a bit nicer to use than MENU.PRG but both work good. Thank you Idek for all your work on the drivers.

Because of the architecture of the driver.
To prevent using extra memory, you can just rename IM_COL.ACC to IM_COL.PRG and use it as a program.
Start it, then click on 'Verschiedenes' and change 'Dunkelschaltzeit' to 0 min.
This will only change the ICB value. After a reset, it will be back to the driver value (usually 5 minutes).
If you use it as ACC, you can save the value and it gets used each time the ACC gets loaded.

Are you referring to the CIC10476 ? As far as I know, it does not support more than 256 colors.

oh Yes the CIC10476, I thought ET4000 chips could support more than 256 in 800x600 or is the RAMDAC which is the issue?

Yes, the RAMDAC is responsible for the color depth limitation.

Here is a little program that should turn the screensaver off. It needs to get started before Cubase. (does not work in AUTO folder)

Nice, thanks for the new NOVA_COL. It works very good. Regarding the 5-minute default screen blanking of the Nova driver, can I hexedit the value in my files to increase the interval to say 1hr or 2hr? 5 minutes is just too short or a time for me and I still look for a solution that doesn't need extra ACC to load just for changing or stopping the interval. Hope you are doing well! Glad to see you back on the boards!

Search STA_VDI for 00003A98 and replace it with 00048828. This should give you 99 minutes.

Awesome, thanks! I see the value is the (number of minutes * 3000). Any reason I couldn't go past 99 to 120 minutes instead with 00057E40? Also, what would happen if I put a 00000000 there? Would it turn it off?

Well, the rest of the software assumes 99 minutes as maximum. It will probably work, but create problems with things like NOVA_COL.
Yes, zero should turn it off.

Hi Idek,

I use your NOVA drivers on a Mach32 card on a TT. Works very well !
There is just something in one VDI call...

vro_cpyfm has one parameter for the mode:
- intin[0]=0 for ALL_WHITE (all zeros)
- intin[0]=15 for ALL_BLACK (all ones)

This works well from monochrome to 256 colors.
But from 32768 to true colors, you get the reverse effect : all zeros give a black rectangle and all ones give a white rectangle.

Some old application use this call to clear a new window (instead of vr_recfl to fill a rectangle). And a big black window is not so beautiful... (Script works this way, the FORTH Compiler too.)

Could the modes 0 and 15 be inverted when the displays is in 32768 colors or more ??

Thanks !

Guillaume.

I'm not sure if I'm in the correct thread, so just FYI. Tested the idek Panther/2 driver with the MegaST + Panther/2 + Mach64 and it works :) I only had to replace bundled menu.prg (illegal instruction) by menu_e.prg.
