Do you mean a 68060 on the AB040 ?
I started to make an adapter but I haven't had time to test the new version I made of the PCB. There might be some timing issues and software isssues to. My adapter is based on the 68060 databook and some schematics for the Milan 68060 adapter.
One day I'll have time to put back the AB040 in my falcon and retest all of this.

Just working on the 68040 now.
Maybe I compared it to the 060 in the lengthy read :)

Going to work on the A/B until I know everything is optimal before moving to the 060 adapter for Amiga. One of the reasons I want to try out the 060 PLL clock now, so I can eliminate any hardware issues later.

Would be a kick start to know any skew between the 32mhz clock which feeds the COMBEL and it's /2 16mhz output to the main board. A scope would be nice, still keeping an eye out.

Ok.
Let us know all your findings :)
I might pull the AB040 from storage and put it back in my Falcon and apply all the fix you'll find .
I assume you're documenting all of this and will release all your findings at some point ?

I've got notes all the way back to installing a T36 in an ST :)

Did you see the archive Jo Even posted? He has the complete archive of Afterburner discussions for download on his IP. Reminded me of how dumb and loudmouth I was. Wait a minute...:)

After the last post, did some basic testing of the two A/B cards. One just purchased was an unknown, the other purchased from ATY many years ago. It was put to bed sometime back, well packed. On first attempt, didn't get anything out. Clock patch did have a few fixes to make. Switched to the new one, booted fine. Went back to the original, no joy. A few sessions later, reseated CPU, no joy. Replaced the CPU, fired up.
Never had a CPU fail, this one only over clocked by 10%, worked when stored.

:) Something else to put on the trouble shooting list.
So far, removed the Nemesis, waiting for RF shielded coax in the post, will test with exxos buffer before testing with 889VL6 config.
