What resolutions would this enable? Pretty sure I'm interested! :)

The resolutions I gave were just examples. You can achieve higher resolutions, and of course in 256 color modes and True Color modes as well. What did you have in mind?

I have received responses to my private message from 9 out of 14 people that had declared interest. If you have declared interest in buying an adapter, i.e., if your name is listed in the first post of this thread, and you have not responded, please check your private message inbox here at Atari-Forum. Thanks!

If anyone else is interested there are still a few adapters left. Send me a private message and I will provide you with more information. Price is 27 Euro including shipping, and 3 Euro for the case (optional).

Here's a short update.

Most of the parts I have already received, but some of the more expensive parts along with the cases were ordered yesterday and I expect to receive them sometime early next week. At that time I will start assembling the adapters and test them which will take a few days. When done, I will also provide the Blow-Up software (which is used to configure the video modes making use of the oscillator on the adapter card) to everyone that have purchased the adapter.

Good news! All monitor adapters have been been assembled and tested with the 40MHz and the 50MHz oscillators... and all adapters work as expected! :-)
The 50MHz oscillator is the oscillator that is mounted in the socket on the adapter card by default. The 40MHz oscillator comes in a separate ESD bag.
All of you that have bought a monitor adapter will receive a PM from me with a download link to the BlowUp software and manual.
I'm sending off all packages tomorrow. Thank you everyone!

I'd love one too! Was wondering why more of these weren't made. Apparently Calamus SL 2015 for Atari requires at least 800x600@256 colors, which I tried to get configured with Videlity, but it was rather wonky on my computer, and not quite 800x600. Though I have a CT60e, I'm guessing that'll work wonderfully with the BlowUP?

Should work just fine with the CT60e.

Unfortunately I'm all sold out, but if there's enough interest I'll do another batch. I need at least 5 people paying for another batch. You're the 2nd one to show interest. Need at least 3 more.

Received mine today, many thanks.

Seems to work well although I'm trying to get my head around the Blow Up config program having worked with Videlity and Videl Inside before: it's a tad less forgiving.

Cheers,

BW.

I just received mine, everything is carefully presented.
Thank you very much, dhedberg.

Since we have standard sw and hw, it would be nice if someone could make a list of the working resolutions/settings.
Haven't received mine yet.

Yes, that would be great. Video modes can be saved in a text file in the Blow-Up configuration software. It was my initial intention to provide a file with a set of different video modes for the 40MHz and 50MHz oscillators, but I simply haven't had the time to create these. What works and what does not also depends a bit on the connected monitor.
I assume most people have figured out how the Blow-Up software works by now. The most important part is to make sure the MS (MultiSync) button is selected, it will enable real-time feedback when changing any of the Videl parameters.

Spent a good few hours yesterday tweaking the best resolution I could get without pixel size distortion on my bog standard 1920x1080 monitor with initially the 50 and then the 40MHz xtal (as mine's a stock Falcon).

Unfortunately when I booted into Mint afterwards Xaaes went mad and couldn't initialise the display.

It turns out Videlity is also compatible with your dongle, Daniel, and that doesn't suffer the same problem under Xaaes, but it can't quite replicate the same mode and has some strange approximately one second interval random horizontal lines flickering on the screen that BlowUp doesn't suffer.

Does anyone know if Blowup & Mint/Xaaes is a known issue? Terrible shame if so. Also is this flickering I described similar to the 'interference' people have seen?

More experiments to come. :-)

I own the Videlity software, but it does not let me enable the external clock when used with the Blow-Up hardware. Can you please send me the version you have?

The random horizontal lines that you see, are those black and thin? Do they appear regardless of what oscillator you use (40/50 MHz)?
You say that the lines only appear when using the Videlity software but not the BlowUp software? That most likely rules out hardware problems.

I received mine yesterday, very well packed and even with documentation included.
Thanks, Daniel. Great work!

I will hopefully be able to set mine up over the coming weekend.
