Hmmm. Should I purchase another VME adapter to use the ATI Mach64 that I already own?

or

Should I purchase an ET4000 card to use with the VME adapter that I already own?

Wait until it is tested ...

Sell your ET4000 Adapter and buy a new one.

That makes sense.

Are there any benchmarks to compare:
Built-in graphics vs ET4000 vs ATI vs with & without NVDI?

Wow, people are assholes. Somehow all of the ISA ones are 100-200 (ebay) vs the PCI ones that are 20-50.. .

Anyhow, before I go diving into this, I'd like to know what Bama asked, benchmarks for all of the things.

Perhaps you should open a separate thread for that?

That would be great :) I assume you have the GAL-code as well?

The Falcon Nova is ATI MACH64 only. So MACH32 and ET4000 will not work. Contact Idek at the forum to discuss the issue. Maybe Idek can make the ET4000 work with a Nova Falcon Adapter ?

I'm going to try to track down an ATI MACH64, then I'll get one of these boards from you. Price gougers won't leave us nerds alone! Ha!

Ha, bad enough that this sits outside the case, then we'll throw another bridge adapter in? So VME -> ISA -> PCI? :P would that actually work?

Do you happen to know which RAMDACs the Falcon driver supports?

The following DACs should work:

ATT20C408
STG1702
CH8398A
2146886000 ATI TECH SPECTRA DAC

Thanks Idek, I found one of those (a 2Mb) incredibly cheap :) So now "all" I have to do is to build the interface.

The ATI MACH64 with 4MB went very hot so I install two little Fans ...

That looks amazing! How well does the Mega STe push that. Could have sworn I'd read somewhere that the vme cards weren't terribly useful on them because of the 16Mhz CPU, whereas the TT was awesome with them (granted I have both, so wouldn't matter to me, my TT gets the most use these days next to my Falcon).
