have not receive your PM yet.

Current code ( but disabled in the web download ) is having it's own icon for each window, as each of them can be iconified.
Especially street view is rather different from the rest.
Your idea of having a difference icon for each map type is also fine.

On the icon sizing, the iconification windows are made my AES and so should be constant size across all screen types. So I think ( not sure ) all icons needs only to be of the same size.

I've got my MiNT+XaAES setup working once again on my CT63+CTPCI. Using the PCI graphics and network cards, PHGMAP is really fast: :megaphone: approx. 2s to zoom in or out

Hybrid mode is a little slower at approx. 3s, but still..

That's absolutely awesome!

TOS in use: tosbeta10 from may 6th, 2012 and the RTL8139.xif from that package.

I did not really test the speed of EtherENC but I am sure it is not as fast.

Updated with iconify support.
You can iconify the main map window, street view window, route window & favorite window to cut down on your clutter on the desktop.

There is no version increase as there is no real application function increase.

After some time I downloaded latest Phgmap again to my FireBee and try it.
The version 2.01 is totaly unusable on my setup while version 1.9 works as it should.

Moving the map is useless. Any way I try to move on the map the map moves only by few pixles. Even if I try to move it by holding the mouse button to move it almost the whole window it moves just a little.

Drawing the route on the map from GPX file is totaly wrong. But there is a funny thing. If I try to move the map by holding the mouse button the map moves just a little but the wrong drawn route moves to the right position.

Well I dint have time to test some more. My setup is FireBee with MiNT, XaAES, Thing 1.29.

As I said, version 1.9 works great.

Thanks.
The last few versions does not have much improvement for users of Mint.
Mostly are MagiC compatibility and (in the last version) iconification only.
nevertheless I will see what up with it.

All versions of PH Gmap that I got on my HD stopped displaying any map. I get the informaton "wrong key" and nothing else happens. Did I scramble something up, without noticing it, or is there a common problem?

I think it is a generic problem. :(
Some of my favourites places are showing up and some are not - error is bad key.
I checked my dev key console and it seems to be OK on the Google console. The free quota is not used up yet.
You notice some hits on Mar 18 (today).
I will check to see why some can get a map while some request cannot later tonight.

Ok, I think I know what's going on.
The geocoding API has been deprecated on 8 Mar 2013, but they have extended it to Sept 2013.
http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com ... pi-v2.html
They also lowered the free request per day.
May be this is the issue here.
Looks like I have some busy nights ahead.
( and when I was thinking of taking a breather after PH Forum Notify release last weekend :( )

Wow, thats a service! The new API within 3 days. Thanks a lot! Works well again. Only the movent seems to have a bug. Clicking does not center the map, but move it about 10% in the direction. As well using the keypad moves the map only about 10%. And finally "klick-hold-drag" does the same, ... ?

Mmm... I only chnaged the API and the arrangement of the right click menu (via resource editor).
Wonder why it is not moving correctly now. I hope it is not a Firebee thingy as it worked centering for me.
I will have a look tomorrow.

Edit:
I had tested them before I ZIP them up but just in case I clicked on the wrong PRG, I quickly tested the release builds (68K & 680x0 versions) again
and it does work correctly on my system - clicking center it. Dragging also moves along the entire distance.

So I am not sure why it is not working on the firebee (I assume you're using on a firebee).
May be library mix up for the CF release version, I will rebuild CF version tonight.

Repackaged PHGMap with a re-build of coldfire binaries.
Coldfire version is not tested as I do not have any Coldfire machines.
Hope it works.

I reloaded version 2.02 from your webpage, but sadly there are no changes. Movin with any possibility is always just about 10 % of the displayed area, just like it was before. Only possibility to move a little bit faster is to klick into the scroll bars, then it´s about 25%, ...
Thats the situation at least at my FireBee. Sorry.

Same here on my FireBee, except the map moves by even less than 10% of its size. It's more like a couple of pixels. I even thought it didn't move at all at first.

Not sure what's going on and why it is like this on firebee.

I did not touch any navigation / mouse routines.
Only change the geocoding functions to work with the new API.
I am truly lost here. :(

I will do a code walk-through tonight with my PM ( that's myself  )

Hey wongck,

I reported this quite some time ago and your response was I should use older version of PHGmap as latest versions dont have any enhancements regarding FireBee. So you should look a bit older versions of PHGmap and not the latest one to find the difference.

Thanks for the hint, Vido.

So far I have seen nothing suspicious. :(
Funny thing is that the code to move the map in any direction by clicking was removed.
(replaced by centering map code).
Only moving code left is handled by scroll-bar events.

So I wonder how on earth does the Firebee manage to go back in time and run the code that was removed. 8O

I wouldn´t be sure about that. The new requested map is always the same distance away from the previous map. And even the independent from the card size. So you have the feeling if the map window is very small that it is moving much more (in fact its the same way as with huge maps). To me it seems somehow the request is not completely arriving the server. In every way the new card is loaded and rendered. And don´t forget it´s always the same distance, with every methode. So perhaps that is some "generic" distance if the values don´t arrive correctly, and not some old code?

I didnt test this version but for the previous version I know that when I tried to move the map with the route being drawn on it, the route moved correctly but the map didnt. Maybe it is still the same.

Sounds like the map centering is the problem again. :(
Again it works for me.
I wonder what coordinates did the Firebee returned.

Correct, the old API is gone, so the old prg will not work.

Furthermore, I could not see why it is happening, so I do not kown where to change. :(

Hmm, ... see Vidos post from November 13th: http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=219999#p219999
It seems something newly introduced from version 1.9 to 2 causes that problems?

Or cold you just recompile 1.9 with the new API so that we can use it again at our FireBees?
