Crazy Dots II Questions

Postby dexterslab » Wed Apr 15, 2009 6:58 pm

sorry more questions...

for many many years i've had a crazy dots 2 card running in my tt, using the nvdi et-4000 drivers. I cant remember what version they are at the moment but would be circa 1994 vintage.

are there any better/newer drivers i can use?

With my current setup you have to generate the video resolutions from scratch using VMG-4000.PRG, does anyone have any experience setting up these? I'd like to setup some widescreen modes for use on my new monitor.

i've no idea which version of NVDI i'm using at the moment, i just know them as NVDI ET-4000, when i next boot it up i'll take a look. If i wanted a newer version where would i go to get it?

thanks for the link to the nvdivga.inf file, the 1024*768 mode works perfectly

can someone explain the settings in VMG4000 that generates the .inf file?

i found this website ( http://tinyvga.com/vga-timing ) which lists all 'standard' vesa frequencies and i'd like to use that to create some more modes. I'm not 100% sure whats what in the program and it doesn't help the latest version i have is all in german.
