Logitech trackball for use with the PeST interface

Postby jfl » Wed Aug 13, 2008 7:17 pm

Hello,

I'm eargerly awaiting a PeST (so that I can finally trash that horrid Champ Mouse that makes the pointer move across the screen without me touching it) and I hesitate between these two Logithech trackballs that I think are compatible with the PeST:

I know the first model is already in use by a few people, but what about the second ? I suspect it's the same technology inside. Also, the first model does not have a scroll wheel, but since XaAES does support scroll wheels, I'd rather have one. The scroll wheel is said to be emulated by a left click and the ball, but does that work with the PeST?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the PeST doesn't relay the scroll wheel's signals. An Eiffel would be better in this aspect.
I'm afraid you'll have to do without the wheel.

All right, then. I'll do without the wheel. I can live without it. Thanks for your answer.
