Stardust on Falcon?

Postby simonsunnyboy » Fri Apr 26, 2013 8:00 pm

Is there any version of the STE game Stardust that will work on the Falcon?

I always thought it was made to run on both the STE/Falcon, with improvements on the Falcon, like Zero 5. I was planning on getting it for my Falcon.
And it shall come to pass, in the days when the Dark Hunt rides,
when the right hand falters and the left hand strays,
that mankind shall come to the Crossroads of Twilight and all that is,
all that was, and all that will be shall balance on the point of a sword,
while the winds of the Shadow grow.-From 'The Prophecies of the Dragon'

Didn't think it had Falcon improvements but also didn't realize the STE version didn't run!

Falcon could've run the AGA version no sweat though...

D-bug has a Falcon "fixed" version on this page: http://dbug.kicks-ass.net/patch.php

I guess it was STE only with no Falcon improvements.

Gang, something is not right. I can play my STe version of Stardust on my Falcon
out of the box, no problems.

Well then, this hack must be for stuff like 16Mhz and cache or VGA or something like that. I haven't tried it yet myself because I have to split up the zip file to fit across 1.44MB disks at the moment. The irony is I got my 100MB Zip drive working on the Falcon to transfer large files, and then found out my Zip drive for the PC is broken! :? I can't swap the first drive because it's SCSI and I have no port for that on my PC (PC Zip works through parallel).

Stardust is made for STE and Falcon - there are 2 executables for 2 systems.

If no hard disk try floppy version crack (3 DD floppies): http://www.thegamearchives.com/?val=0_2 ... _0_19_15_0
Negative feedback has usually positive effect.
