I think there are one or two with that music, some Amiga demo conversion possibly. Electronic Images spring to mind.

The scroll text... the main scroll font I have seen in Mental Hangover an STe demo if I recall correctly ! Otherwise that type of downward scroll/background is in loads and loads of demos!!!!

The big shiny cut out balls? Bit like the old bounce demo? So there are a few of those? I think one appeared in the last year or so in a demo? without checking Sommerhack?

there is really interesting description.
gfx mode with 256 colors on the screen with overscan, cpu 8Mhz with 4MIPS (ST has 0.5 MIPS)
it seems that Acorn Archimedes was really great piece of hardware...

Hello.

I'm the maker of this old, bugged demo.
The spheres are from Render Bender, an Archimedes raytracer. The shiny and badly cut thingy is a ... badly cut image of a CD.
:P

Watch out for a sequel to this demo, for July.
Same principle, better graphics, and at least one more big sprite.
This time screenmode will be 384 x 288.

I also intend to do the same thing in 16 colours, so I'll have about 8 or 9 big sprites on screen.
In order to show some Amiga lovers on a French forum that, yes, the Archimedes was skilled for 2D, too.

my mate had an Arc (a3010). really great bit of kit, they all had ARM RISC chips. no point comparing to ST, not like for like. for 3D they were better than PCs at the time. Check out Starfighter 3000 on youtube.
Some of the demos i used to watch on them, blew me away. The OS was lovely too.

The STs do not have hardware sprites. So to answer your questions, it depends on how fast your assembler code is. :-)

The BBC screen in the Nostalgic-o-Demo.

That is a true big sprite rather than a block-graphic moved around.
So let it be written, So let it be done. I'm sent here by the chosen one.
