THE SNDH Archive Released - The Chip resource

Postby Grazey / PHF » Sun Feb 26, 2006 8:49 pm

After four years of absence, the SNDH collection is reborn.

We present you 2046 SNDH files with a total of 4783 tunes to listen at. All original Atari tunes with no crappy StSound-conversions. Grazey have been in overdrive mode in the last year to rip and rip and rip, resulting in this phenomenal rebuild of the archive.

To make sure that the collection doesn't stagnate like the last time, we now have a database driven admin tool which simplify a lot of things, and will help us keep the archive up to date with minimal effort, even with dual-filename versions.

Ok, enough babble, visit the SNDH-page! The Resource for Atari ST chip music on the internet.

Heh, first thing I had to do. Spent all of last night listening to the tunes as the missus chatted on the phone moaning about me being on the computer....

Perhaps lotek is refering to the readily available tunes on the web?

ie:

stu/drop da bomb
gwem/phatt demo
cerror
20 years megademo
5 x YM ROCKERZ productions
dubmood
etc

cheers,

ASY

PS. Woke up to a lovely snowy South Wales today :)
PPS. MARCER, are your latest demo tunes available to add to the archive? (noisy pillars, 2 x hidden tracks, etc)

Is there any difference between the quality of the non-native players? (WinJAM, Deliplayer, SC68, uST etc.)

If so, any chance of a synopsis?

Is there any chance in the future that tunes for games will be cross linked with Atari Legend? That would be amazing.

Thanks guys, I got it now. At the moment I am recording a whole bunch of sndh for my ipod. I already have 469 sid files recorded directly from my hardsid quattro and the ym2149 is a wonderful supplement to this collection.
