How to convert old coding docs in microsoft write format?

Postby lp » Wed Apr 19, 2006 4:54 am

Anybody know where I can find a working copy of microsoft write for the ST?
Tried the one at http://www.planetemu.net/ with no luck, just bombs. :-/

I have some old coding docs in this format I really want to rescue.

Maybe you can parse the MS write format youself instead of trying to find the actual software?

Or is the format too weird?

Or maybe you can find some online docs about this format?

Or maybe you could try opening the files in ms wordpad or word?

(I know, you should have probably done all these, but just stating them for the record :) )

Will try to find ms write on my archives too.

Yup the format is weird.
I have found some docs on the format, but it does not cover the old Atari format at all.
Tried every app on my mac, even m$ word does not know this format.
Indeed I tried all these, but in the end I lose all the formatting (tabs, fonts, effects) and layout if I just pull all the ASCII out by hand. :)
