Phillips CM 8853 monitor vertical ghost lines

Postby Chandler » Tue Jul 24, 2018 7:03 pm

I recently changed the LOPT in this monitor as there was more hissing coming from it than a snake pit!

Anyway, it did used to work with the old LOPT, just the hissing

I replaced it and it works fine with no hissing

However as can be seen on the left side of the screen and not so much on the right side, there are these vertical ghost lines, i didn't have this before with the old LOPT fitted

Does any have any idea what could be causing this? :)

It may be as the result of ripple on one of the DC supplies. Check the electrolytic capacitors on the various DC supply rails.
