Atari STylus (Atari ST Pad)

Postby SteveBagley » Fri May 25, 2018 3:46 pm

I've been doing a bit of research* on the Atari STylus/Atari ST Pad (or whatever it was going to be called) and wondered if there were any decent photos of its motherboard kicking about (the best I've found is a 640x480-ish one)? I'm also guessing that the TOS version and 'PenOS' software for it aren't floating about anywhere…

There's quite a few hints kicking around in the TOS source code though -- it looks like the pen hardware was mapped into memory at $D00000 judging by some comments.

* I've got a student who is going to try and produce an 'emulator' (not sure you can emulator is the right word for vapourware, but hey) of the device using an iPad and an Apple Pencil for her dissertation project.

Your best bet would be contacting Curt Vendel of He's probably also the only one who could dump that TOS version.
