3D printed Falcon VGA adapter

Postby joska » Sat Apr 22, 2017 8:02 pm

I broke yet another wire in my makeshift VGA adapter tonight, so I decided to print a case for it. I could have bought one, but the 3D printer is too much fun :) Also, all other adapters I've seen is lacking proper support, putting a lot of strain on the Falcon video connector.

The case consists of three parts that are glued together.

Nice. I created a 3D design years ago that used a PCB and was actually a shell that would have been filled with resin to create a durable molded adapter. As time flies I forgot about it until seeing this one.
Are you ready to 'PlayOne', and new 5200 and Jaguar controller coming soon.

An update with three different version - the straight one shown in the first post, and two 90 degrees angled one, left and right versions. The angled versions saves a few cm behind the Falcon, nice if you have a crowded desk like me.
