Can an SM124 (ST Hi resolution monochrome monitor) be interfaced to a TT030? The TT supports ST high resolution but there is no 13 pin DIN socket on it - just a VGA socket which (as you may know) is not "standard" VGA and doesn't give good images on a modern LCD panel.

good question. on TT, ST-High mode has different parameters than on ST. E.g. vertical resolution is 60Hz instead of 71Hz, and video signal is transferred via RGB pins instead of mono pin. you can connect TTs RGB pins to SM124s mono pin but I guess that SM124 refuse to work with video refresh 60Hz.

I'm gonna go with "No". The TT doesn't sync that low.

I tried this once, and I couldn't get it to work. Bit of a pain since some older app software
only uses ST-High. Now, if there was a way of getting a TT to give TT-High on a standard PC monitor...
