Chaining multiple ACSI devices was always problematic. The main problem is that Atari never released formal specifications for how to daisy chain the ACSI bus. And different brand/devices implemented it in different ways.

Again, I don't know if somebody tried exactly the same configuration you want. But probably the best way would be to get an AdSCSI host adapter because they were the best ones for daisy chaining the ACSI bus. Yes, I know, they are very hard to find
