Amiga M1438S schematic

Postby 3AtariSTE » Mon Oct 26, 2009 12:06 pm

Hello all
A new beautiful multisync/lowscan monitor in my collection, an Amiga M1438S.
Just I have built several cables to connect the M1438S (with DB23pin video connector) on my Falcon030 and STe machine (I will updates my home page with new photos and descriptions.) :)

Now, just a question:
I haven't found the M1438S schematic, so if anybody can help me....

Thx in advance
Maurizio

PS: i know AMIGA word is not in tuning like ATARI peripherial...
Anyway, I can change the original label with "Microvitec M1438S"...

It's a multiscan monitor. It will handle RGB and VGA. VGA will likely have large borders around the screen.
One irritating quirk of the monitor is the darkness of RGB modes. VGA is a lot brighter.

Yeah, the monitor scan from 15Khz to 35Khz. All of multiscan monitor (Mitsubishi EUM-1491A too) are a bit darkeness in RGB mode, while in VGA mode are brighter, very cleaner (like a classic SVGA for PC).
I've built a special cable for my Falcon030...the DB19 connector have a little switch, RGB <-> VGA, and the M1438 works very fine on both modes.

I also bought this monitor.
Naturally it works perfectly with Amiga 1200 and now I plan to build cable for connecting it to Falcon... :)
