is this the board that goes over the CPU as used on the mega st? (or probably any ST in fact) so you can switch between the 2 TOS versions?

i too am looking for that software, have googled it for hours and come up with nothing

hardware is useless without it!

will be hard to find me thinks....... :x

if you ever do find anything please let me know, i will do likewise :D

yes, this card goes on the 68000 (DIL) and exchanges from the TOS that you have installed in your motherboard towards TOS 2.06 by means of software, although I believe that a long time ago I read, that exists a trick to make it work without software, but then always is in TOS 2.06

Somebody knows something?

Hi,

just returned to the ST scene after decades away and saw this post. I have the disk for this, and will check to see if the software still loads.

Regards

I also have that (is on my upload to Zogging Hell list, when I stop doing two jobs at once), if black013's disk fails (although OP was quite a hile ago). BTW weren't there STFM and STE versions of this board? I don't know if there is any difference in the way the boards activate, or different programs?

Hi,

have checked the disk and it appears to be OK. It is for the STFM.

Do you have a photo of the board? I have a board over the top of the CPU and am wondering what it is.

That is the Tboard probably, if it has two ROM chips and is in a socket soldered onto the 68k then it is most likely it. Some accelerator and PC emulator expansions also attach here, but would probably be obvious hopefully because they would have a CPU (either a Motorola or Intel/Clone CPU) on them. If you're still not sure I'll post a pic, mine isn't fitted yet so it will be easy to dig out. If you are still in the original case it and definitely have the Tboard fitted it can't possibly be anything else as it wouldn't fit under the keyboard!

Hi,
Just bought an old Atari 520STF, along with some other stuff.
Sold as parts and it had ribbon cables sticking out of the case and was in a poor state.
Turns out that it has a 4Mb RAM upgrade and what I think is a 2.06 TOS switcher board from Compo Software!
Rapired the power supply and it starts up, result...
Do you still have the software avalible so I can test the ROM switch? At the moment I am on 1.00 so back in the stone age.
I would love to get this much abused ST back up and running again, it deserves some love.

Thanks
