SatanDisk - alternative version?

Postby jens » Thu Aug 23, 2007 4:31 pm

Ok, guys.
On Atari-Home the user tuxie is thinking about bringing more SatanDisks into circulation.
If enough people... and so on.

He did likewise with Ethernec adapter boards, and from what I can tell about the Ethernecs (got four of them myself) I'd say his SatanDisks might be a burner as well.

There is yet no pricing available as he wants to have the SatanDisks made by his best-liked manufacturer just like the Ethernecs.
Those Ethernecs are considered very well priced at 35,- Euros compared to other Ethernec projects that go up to 40,- or even more without.
Please consider shipping might be expensive.

Please feel free to express your interest over there in this thread.
No guarantees this project really will take place.

I'm in no way afflicted with this project.

Thanks a lot.
Greetings, Jens

Well I can see 2 things wrong with your idea of expressing my interest via. that link:
(1). Its another forum and would require registration and I for one would not go through all that just to make a single post.
(2). It is a German forum so monolingual simpletons from England like me have no hope of expressing anything there.
See, there I go moaning again, I really should cheer up.....

Other than that, I would think that there will be great interest expressed there

Course I am speaking for myself here :)

Well, I did not think about registration up to now.

The fact the forum is usually talking German should not matter as I specified the thread.

Sounds nice, but personally, I would prefer if mirko would do another batch.

Well MiKro would not make more SatanDisks he said.
And he did express himself very clearly.

I can confirm Jens.

I bought two ethernecs and the boards impressed me very much.

They are of outstanding superior quality. That guy knows what he's doing.
It's really made with "Deutsche grundligheid".

Made with Deutsche gredinghleing like Alt beer and Killepitsch? ;)
SatanDisk make it so easy to swap files from PC/MAC to ST, i think everybody will want one ASAP :)
step 1: introduce bug, step 2: fix bug, step 3: goto step 1.

Oh, I see, I missed that. Where/when he said so?

Then, it certainly might be a good idea. But I do agree with RetroGamerUK, make some web page in English, and make it easy to pay for the product (Paypal).

I would also like minor enhancements, such as a connector that would allow easier firmware upgrades.

Sorry - it's some time ago that I read it.
Can't remember where.

Ok, I'll make an announcement here to ask about interest.
Orders will come later if an acceptable price can be achieved with the manufacturer tuxie wants to have the SatanDisk made from.
