NVDI 5 disk corrupt

Postby alanh » Mon Jul 24, 2006 9:03 pm

Hello,

I have a genuine version of NVDI 5, but the first disk is corrupt.

Can anyone help me get the first disk again ?

Thanks,

Alan.

Just write to ASH and ask them for the disk.

I've tried Behne & Behne directly, but haven't got a reply.

I'll try ASH now, thanks.

The Behne Brothers seem to be out of Atari. Nvdi is just sold by ASH or some overseas distributers now.

If there's no on-disk protection or hard-coded serial then surely anyone else could make an image of their own disk and just PM it you.

Don't post it to the main forum though.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Oh, and there is protection by the way of the serial number when it's installing.

But, what I meant to say, is that there's no ondisk protection, so yes, someone could PM it to me.

Please !

We don't mind old stuff appearing on here but it's the stuff that's still supported that's a no-no. Hope someone PM's you a working disk 1.

Hi there MugUK! Long time no ... uh ... read!

Just out of curiousity, and perhaps more practical reasons, which Atari ST software is still currently supported. Could you give me a list? I imagine it to be a rather small one.

Thanks,

Not something I'm up to date on to be honest. There are a few packages mentioned on here (HDDriver, NVDI 5) that are still supported by the authors so I can assume that we'd get into trouble for posting cracked versions on here.

Also anything sold by 16/32 Systems is more than likely a no-no as Nick (the owner) has complained about the disk images being made available on Atari Legend for some of the last ST/STE/Falcon titles that were hosted up there.

You're better off asking this in a more informed forum? Maybe AtariAge or the newsgroup comp.sys.atari.st ??
